    Lions fall to Muenster in state quarterfinals

    The Albany Lions' perfect season came to an end Friday night in the state quarterfinals couretsy of top ranked Muenster.
    The Hornets started rolling first when Clay Stevens took the handoff on the one and scored the only touchdown in the first quarter.
    In the second Albany had a big play with a beautiful catch by Adam Faith, but nothing happened on the drive.
    Later in the quarter the Hornets were on the move again. Danny Luttner snagged the pass, but he fumbled it on the hit!! Faith came up with it, and the Lions took advantage of the turnover.
    Brian Hamilton finds Cutter Edgar on the screen pass, and he turned on the jets! He got all the way down to the 10 yard line. That led to a touchdown, and Albany trailed 7-6 at the half.
    Albany took their first lead in the third quarter when Hamilton hit Cameron Dacus for a 16 yard score. The lions lead, 12-7, but the lead didn't last long.
    The Hornets' Parker Mcgrew with the answer, an amazing 69 yard touchdown run on the very next possession, and it's 14-12 Muenster.
    The Hornets added two more touchdowns in the 4th quarter to pull away, and Albany falls to Muenster 28-12.
