WACO, Texas – Hardin-Simmons’ Victor Rodriguez has been named a second-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.
Rodriguez, a senior center from Mesquite, was the American Southwest Conference offensive lineman of the year and was named first-team all-ASC.
He led a Cowboy offense that averaged 492.8 yards per contest and 42.2 points per game. HSU ran for 243.4 yards per contest.
The Cowboys went 9-2 and advanced to the NCAA playoffs.
