The ACU Wildcats are headed north on Friday for their showdown with the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
ACU enters the game with a good 8-4 record, but head coach Joe Golding and his Wildcats are still missing something since they moved up to division one. They still haven't beaten a top 25 team.
They can change that Friday against the Raiders.
Joe Golding said, "I think it would immediately change your program, but I don't think that we're thinking that way. We're just trying to get better each and every day. We try to trust the process and just continue to get better. They're on a different level, there's no question, they're in the Big 12, they're a power 5 conference. It's a different level but it's a great opportunity for our guys, you get to go play in a great arena obviously against a really well coached team, top 25 team, we've got nothing to lose."
Jalone Friday said, "We're feeling good, we kind of missed one going into Lipscomb that we feel like we should've had. Going into Tech we feel like we can go in there and make some noise and hopefully be the ones that come out on top."
The Wildcats and the Raiders get the day started early. They are set to meet at 2 p.m. in Lubbock.
