The Abilene High boys are 0-1 in district after a three point loss to Keller before the holiday break. That was a tough loss for the team, but they're not discouraged or worried at all.
In fact coming back to work after the break, these guys are pumped and ready to go.
They were ready to go at practice today, and they're looking forward to the matchup with Keller Central tomorrow.
Don Heseman said, "Oh the kids showed up, almost all of them were early. They're just as excited as I am. We're ready to get on the floor and to get back into the flow of things."
Nic Marczynski said, "We're building our confidence right now to go out there and win the game. We've been practicing hard, just working to get that done."
Jalen McGee said, "Just expecting them to come out with a lot of intensity basically, so just start strong and we should be good."
Heseman said, "They shoot really well. They play really aggressive defense man to man. It's going to be a fun game. It really is."
This fun matchup with Central was scheduled for today but has been moved to Wednesday.
The girls tip off first at 1p.m. and the boys follow at 2:30p.m.
