The ACU women are headed out on the road this week, and it's going to be a tough week for Julie Goodenough's ladies.
The Wildcats are 6-0 in the Southland Conference and riding a seven game winning streak. The toughest part of the schedule is next.
They take on the other two undefeated teams in the conference on Wednesday and Saturday, but it's not anything they haven't seen already this year.
Coach Goodenough, "Our non-conference schedule was really challenging. We played at Arkansas, at SMU, and we played in a neutral court tournament in Las Vegas against two really good opponents in Radford and Old Dominion. We think our non-conference schedule, as far as travel and competition has prepared us. We feel like our players have done pretty well on the road. It's just really different sometimes, you can't control your schedule as much. Our schedule couldn't have worked out any better for us to be able to play several conference games at home and get on a little bit of a roll, and so we're excited and anxious to try to keep that roll going on the road."
The Wildcats play 5-0 Stephen F. Austin to start the week Wednesday night. That game starts at 7 and is on ESPN3.
The ACU men are back at home for the first time in 11 days and the last time for two weeks Wednesday night.
The Wildcats take on Stephen F. Austin at Moody Coliseum at 7 p.m.
