    Wildcats learning from close games

The ACU men are getting ready for another tough game in the Southland Conference Wednesday night.
The Wildcats are 4-2 so far in the conference, and they've won four of their last five games. Every game has been close for head coach Joe Golding and his team, and he says it's making his team tougher every time they take the court.
ACU head coach Joe Golding said, "It's kind of crazy. We are two possessions away from being 6-0, and we are probably another three or four from being 0-6. That's how our league's been. There's a ton of parity in our league, one through thirteen. I think we are playing good basketball. We are an older team, now. We've been through the grind a little bit. We won some close games early which gave us some confidence to play in some close games late. It seems like very game comes down to the last four minutes, and right now, we've won four and lost two. Obviously, winning four out of the last five gives us some momentum against SFA. We're in a tough stretch right here. We've got four out of five on the road, with SFA being the only home game, so we need to protect our home floor."
The Wildcats host Stephen F. Austin at Moody Coliseum Wednesday night.
This is the Wildcats first home game with the students back in over a month. It starts at 7 p.m.
The women are playing Stephen F. Austin, too, but they are playing that on in Nacogdoches. Both teams enter the game with undefeated records in conference play.
