    2018 Game Balls: Region Semifinals

And then there were 3... De Leon Albany and Hamlin are our three remaining schools in the Big Country as we enter the Regional Finals.
But before we get into Round 4 talk, lets take a look at the top performers from this past week that earned them Game Balls while pushing their teams into the next round.
Starting first with De Leon's quarterback Kevin Yeager. The senior passed for 320 yards and three touchdowns through the air, and ran for 88 yards with three more touchdowns on the ground in De Leon's 44-21 win over Riesel to punch their ticket to the Region Finals. De Leon will get another shot at the undefeated San Saba Armadillos on Friday in Brownwood.
Albany's Blaine Kayga gets a Game Ball this week for his performance in the Lions 48-27 win over Wheeler. While Blaine only had two catches for 20 yards, he found his way into the endzone three times, the biggest one being a four yard fumble recovery touchdown in the fourth quarter that turned the tide in favor of the Lions.
And the final Game Ball of the season goes to Hamlin! The Pied Pipers completed the upset of the season this week beating top-ranked Wellington 21-18. Hamlin held the Skyrockets scoreless in the first half, and held on through the second half of action to advance to the Region Finals where they will play a rematch of the district championship against Albany at Shotwell on Thursday. Congratulations to our winners and good luck in the Regional Finals!
