In a game that lasted three hours and 15 minutes, the Cooper Cougars outlasted Eastwood 49-41 to move on to the Area Round of the playoffs.
This one was a shootout in El Paso. The Cougars scored the first two touchdowns to take a 14-0 lead, but Eastwood then scored to make it a seven point game.
Cooper led 21-14 at the half, and it stayed close for the rest of the game.
The Cougs led 49-28 halfway through the fourth, but that's when Eastwood started their comeback.
The Troopers scored twice to make it 49-41, but that's where the score would stay.
