Connally’s Diamonte Francois returned a punt 89 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter as the Cougars broke into the victory column 26-16 against Bastrop at The Pfield on Friday.
Francois eluded tacklers and ran down the left sideline on the punt return for the score. He also was dangerous at receiver with five receptions for 51 yards.
