Rockets draft pick Montrezl Harrell is known for his prowess on the basketball court, but he may earn the title of hero after his actions over the weekend.
Louisville athletics spokesman Kenny Klein said Harrell helped rescue a motorist from a smoking, overturned vehicle near the University of Louisville's campus.
Kenny Klein, Louisville senior associate athletic director for Media Relations, said Harrell and several others helped kick in a window and get a fire extinguisher from a business nearby.
Klein said Harrell and the other good Samaritans waited for fire crews to arrive.
Harrell, 21, was drafted No. 32 overall by the Rockets in the second round of the 2015 NBA draft. He played at Louisville for three seasons, winning an NCAA championship in 2013.
