Daily Craig: Why the pope isn't coming to Houston

Craig Roberts returns to KPRC 2 with his 'Daily Craig' column.

    (PLEASE is a nice word)

You probably know the pope had never been to the U.S. until he made his grand entrance this past day or so. His people had the following tips for his Holiness. Don't ride the subway alone should you go to NEW YORK. While in Washington ask to see the NCIS building. Mark Harmon might be there. There is a lot of praying regarding the NATIONALS so you might at least stay for batting practice. If really interested in seeing how the U.S. WORKS check in with the guy who is the NFL COMMISH. He thinks he has your job.

Your Holiness will not visit Houston and there are several reasons. He told his Cardinals he likes the CARDINALS, He is suspect of the Houston bullpen. He also is not sold on GUYS CALLED QUARTERBACKS. He was impressed with THE TEXANS COACH who in confidence told the Pontiff he was convinced HAIL MARY'S WIN GAMES. It just hasn't happened yet. In fact a win hasn't happened yet.

He is aware this is a huge weekend for Houston sporting fans. The three games left on the home schedule for the Astros is the biggest deal since the Crane regime came to power. Win all three and the last road trip to Seattle and Phoenix isn't an exercise in futility. The pro football team could do something they did just two seasons ago. Win one home game. I gotta let the cat out and it's not our cat.
