The Houston Rockets have fired coach Kevin McHale, according to an NBA.com report.
The Rockets are 4-7 on the season.
J.B. Bickerstaff will take over as interim coach, the report says.
McHale had a record of 193-130 in five seasons as head coach in Houston. The team made the playoffs in four of the five seasons, going 13-16.
The move comes one season after the team won the division title and reached the Western Conference Finals.
The Rockets host Portland Wednesday night at Toyota Center.
