Brackenridge throttles Jefferson in district opener

Brackenridge coach Willie Hall preaches quick starts for his team before every game, and Friday night they listened.

It only took Brackenridge sophomore wide receiver Carlos Camargo 13 seconds to run the opening kickoff to the end zone for a 95-yard touchdown. After a Jefferson four and out, Camargo added a 38-yard touchdown reception in Brackenridge’s opening possession on offense.

The offensive onslaught sparked Brackenridge’s 44-0 victory over Jefferson Friday night at Alamo Stadium.

“On that kickoff return that hole opened up and I just went straight through,” Carmargo said as his teammates commended him after the game.
