After an incredibly buzzy couple of weeks of imagining which college basketball players would be selected by the Spurs during Thursday night’s NBA Draft, San Antonio fans finally know which young players are joining the family. And it seems like there are mixed feelings about who ended up being called on what is one of the most exciting nights of the year for dedicated superfans.
The Spurs ended up using the organization’s 9th, 20th, and 25th picks. The team also had the 38th pick, making it the first time since 1988 that San Antonio had more than three picks in a single draft, but used it to select Tennessee’s Kennedy Chandler and trade him to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for a future second round pick.
