    Milpitas overpowers No. 3 Antioch in high school football

    Tyree Bracy threw for 285 yards and five touchdowns and ran for two more scores, and Tariq Bracy scored a touchdown and two-point conversion and added a key interception as 12th-ranked Milpitas (2-0) recorded a wild 49-28 non-league win over visiting and third-ranked Antioch.

    On Friday, he rushed 34 times for 209 yards and two touchdowns and added a 38-yard TD reception.

    Tyree Bracy, a 5-11, 180-pound junior, opened the scoring with a 50-yard TD bomb to D’Vaughn Jones midway through the first quarter, but Dalaan Green answered with a 95-yard kickoff return for a score.

    After a Harris two-point conversion, the Panthers (1-1) had their only lead of the night, 8-7.

    Kaun Green threw three second-half touchdown passes in relief of starting quarterback Emoreea Fountain as the visiting Warriors (2-0) rolled to the nonleague win over the Mariners (1-1).

    Kairee Robinson rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the host Spartans (2-0) over the Padres (0-2).

    Carlos Gomez rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns as the Grizzlies won this East Bay Athletic League opener over the host No. 15 Falcons, the defending league champions.

    St. Mary’s quarterback Jake Dunniway and wide receiver Dewey Cotton hooked up three times for TDs; running back Dusty Frampton ran for three scores.
