SI comes back for wild 31-28 win over Marin Catholic-Kentfield

In what was a tale of two halves, visiting St. Ignatius overcame three first-half turnovers and a 15-point deficit to beat 16th-ranked Marin Catholic-Kentfield 31-28 in a wild Saturday afternoon affair.

St. Ignatius quarterback Patrick Brosnan was 11-for-19 for 146 yards and two touchdowns with one interception, and he ran for a third score.

Dallape was involved in one of three turnovers that visiting St. Ignatius (2-1) created in the second half and also came up big on special teams with an 11-yard touchdown return on a partially blocked punt that gave his team a 31-21 lead with 3:26 remaining.

Junior QB Spencer Petras rolled right and tried to throw back across the field, and Dallape intercepted the pass at the goal line and returned it 85 yards.

At Terra Nova-Pacifica, Xavier Caracter threw two touchdown passes, and Joshua Boone ran for a score and caught a TD pass, leading the Crusaders (2-1) to a nonleague victory.

Caracter threw touchdown passes of 10 yards to Donny Bendo and 58 yards to Boone, who also scored on a 1-yard run.

The Crusaders survived a big passing game from Ryan Jenkins, who threw four touchdown passes, including a 41-yarder to Sanjay Kettles, who also scored on runs of 31 and 7 yards.

In other games involving Academic Athletic Association teams, Santa Cruz beat Lincoln 46-14, Richmond beat Washington 47-6, Tamalpais defeated Balboa 14-0, Redwood-Larkspur knocked off Mission 56-26, and Hercules beat Galileo 33-0.
