No. 9 Palo Alto (26-4) at Santa Clara University, 4 p.m.:

Matchup of a reborn East Bay power and a Palo Alto team that has played on the road two straight seasons due to its gym renovation.

The game features three Metro Player of the Year contenders:

Length with Lauren Walker (6-5) and Hailey Vice-Neat (6-3) plus perhaps state Coach of the Year Monica Mertle give Newman hope against nation’s No. 5 team, which goes after its 12th NorCal title.

No. 4 Oak Ridge-El Dorado Hills (23-10) at Santa Clara University, 2 p.m.: A rematch of a section Division 1 semifinal, a 62-54 McClatchy victory.

Vanden, led by 5-10 senior Julia Blackshell-Fair (16.0 ppg, 9.9 rebounds), averages 68.8 and allows 39.8.

Rematch of an early season Cardinal Newman Tournament semifinal, won 76-65 by Campolindo.

Led by 5-9 freshman Malia Mastora (14.5 ppg), St. Joseph goes after its first NorCal title after two previous finals losses.

Eastside Prep, led by guards Zion Gabriel (14.5 ppg) and Kayla Tahaafe (14.1), is after its third straight NorCal title and second straight state championship.
