Girls regional basketball players of the year
The 6-foot-1 sophomore was the leading scorer (15.3 points per game) and rebounder (8.2 per game) for the Bay Area’s No. 1 team, which finished 28-3 and won a Northern California Open Division title.
Ranked the 11th best 10th-grader in the country by ESPN, Jones was also a terrific passer and shot blocker on a roster filled with future college players.
The 5-11 forward — ranked the 65th best senior in the country by ESPN — led the Dragons (26-5) to a superb season and finished as only the second girl in school history with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career.
Pace, who has signed to play for the University of San Diego, averaged 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game her senior season.

In the state title game, she scored a team-high 22 points and grabbed a state title-game record 25 rebounds in a 62-45 loss to Rosary Academy-Fullerton.
