But, clearly, Bishop Gorman-Las Vegas is no ordinary opponent.
The three-time defending national champion used two big defensive plays early in the second quarter to turn around a small deficit and turn it into a 34-7 home victory Saturday night.
Gorman (2-2), ranked 23rd nationally by MaxPreps, turned three De La Salle turnovers into 21 points to win this one handily.
The Spartans, ranked 11th nationally, took a 7-0 lead on a 3-yard keeper by quarterback Erich Storti with 2:44 left in the first quarter.
