The last time Serra played at City College of San Francisco, it was something of a nightmare for the Padres. On Saturday, the sixth-ranked Padres (2-2, 1-0) turned that around with a 45-0 West Catholic Athletic League victory over Riordan.
Patrick Nunn scored on an 18-yard quarterback keeper and hauled in a 53-yard touchdown pass from Luke Bottari. Isiah Kendrick scored on runs of 2 and 40 yards. Bottari connected on a 25-yard TD pass to Andres Atkins and Davis Vakalahi scored on a 44-yard run.
All of that occurred in the first half, and the Padres cruised past the Crusaders (1-3, 0-1), who defeated Serra 66-45 at CCSF in 2015.
