Youngest Ball bids goodbye to high school

LaVar Ball told the Los Angeles Times on Monday that he is pulling his youngest son, LaMelo, out of Chino Hills High School and plans to home school the 16-year-old.

The older Ball said he also plans to personally train LaMelo, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 17 junior overall by 247Sports and fourth-rated point guard.

“I’m going to make him the best player ever,” LaVar Ball told Times’ writer Eric Sondheimer.

The father of Lakers’ point guard Lonzo Ball and UCLA freshman LiAngelo Ball told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne “I’m not dealing with the coach over there. I’m not dealing with the administrators over there. I don’t want no distractions for Melo.
