Nobody could remember the last time Bellarmine lost four games in a row, and Austin Ajiake made sure that it didn’t happen now.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound senior running back and linebacker did it all during a tough 21-14 West Catholic Athletic League win over Riordan at City College of San Francisco on Saturday.
Ajiake rushed 29 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns as the Bells (3-3, 1-2), riding a three-game skid, hung on after taking a 21-0 lead late in the third quarter. Bellarmine‘s third touchdown was a 34-yard run by Tyson Garcia.
But Marcus Williams responded for Riordan with a 69-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
