Kevin Macy has never had a busier Friday, but he wasn’t sending in plays or riding officials. He wasn’t even on a sideline.
The 22-year Campolindo-Moraga football coach was wrangling up supplies and volunteers with, of all people, Jack Schram for a tentative Monday game at archrival Miramonte-Orinda.
Schram is the head coach at Miramonte.
“It’s been a strange week,” Macy said.
That’s an understatement.
Because of poor air quality caused by the Wine Country fires, 51 of the 56 Metro Area high school football games scheduled for Friday were postponed or canceled.
