Father Moses Brown, Cardinal Newman High School’s chaplain, delivered the homily Thursday night at St. Rose Church in downtown Santa Rosa. The mass was arranged after fires destroyed much of the school:
“I went to bed on Sunday safe and sound assuming that everything would be all right when I woke up. In my mind were so many things that now in retrospect seem trivial. I wasn’t planning my classes, to be perfectly honest. I was thinking about what I was going to teach, how do I respond to Wisdom Literature, how do I make it engaging for the students? What about this, that and something else? That all went through my mind when I went to bed.
