And now the North Coast Section Division 3 football playoffs really begin.
Top-seeded Marin Catholic-Kentfield — a 63-7 winner over De Anza-Richmond — and fourth-seeded Bishop O’Dowd — 49-7 victor against Terra Linda-San Rafael — won first-round Saturday afternoon games with ease.
But now, games will get particularly interesting.
Marin Catholic (9-0), which got five touchdown passes from Oregon State-bound Spencer Petras, will host eighth-seeded Miramonte-Orinda (8-3) next weekend.
O’Dowd (8-2), which got 195 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Austin Jones, will host No. 5 seed Acalanes-Lafayette (9-1).
Both quarterfinal games are 1 p.m.
