Three teams enter The Chronicle’s Top 20 boys basketball rankings this week, including three-time state Division V champion Branson-Ross, led by coach Jonas Honick.
Honick stepped away from the program for eight seasons after leading the Bulls to three straight state crowns, the last coming in 2008. He returned last season and guided Branson to a 26-9 campaign and has opened this season 17-2. This year’s only losses were to Lick-Wilmerding and Oakland, both in overtime.
Lick is also 17-2, but has lost to Stuart Hall since the win over Branson. The Tigers are on the rankings bubble.
