Some of the nation’s best boys basketball players will converge for a 10-game, two-day showcase at American Canyon High School on Saturday and Sunday.
Seven of the “Crush in the Valley” games feature basketball academies (independent teams not eligible for state championships) and CIF teams, including The Chronicle’s top two Metro squads, No. 1 Salesian-Richmond (20-1) and No. 2 Bishop O’Dowd-Oakland (13-5).
Last season, those two teams met, with Salesian winning 73-71 in double-overtime.
