SI resoundingly beats Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bruce-Mahoney game

It was one of those days, both teams claimed after St. Ignatius’ resounding 65-45 West Catholic Athletic League win over Sacred Heart Cathedral in the Bruce-Mahoney game at Haas Pavilion on Tuesday night.
It was a remarkable shooting night for St. Ignatius 6-foot-2 senior point guard Wrenn Robinson, who drilled five three-pointers, made 9 of 13 shots overall — many under heavy duress — en route to a game-high 25 points.
“I played here as a kid at Cal camps,” Robinson said. “I love it here. It brought back a lot of good memories.”
It was even more memorable for 6-9 wing Neal Begovich, whose father, Dan, played at Cal in the late 1970s. Dan died nine years ago Monday.
