Joseph Vaughn had 18 points, Marcus Greene added 13 and Devan Sapp and Michael Mitchell had 10 each for the sixth-ranked Monarchs, who improved to 4-3.
Mitty concludes its nonleague schedule next week at the Dougherty Valley tournament in San Ramon.
“We just need more consistency,” Kennedy said. “On both ends of the court, we just seem to lose focus. But we found enough to pull out this one.”
Mitty trailed by as many as eight points in the second half before tying it late in the fourth quarter.
