Dublin slowed but not stopped in 51-41 win at Monte Vista-Danville

The high-powered Dublin boys basketball offensive attack was slowed to a snail’s pace Tuesday at Monte Vista-Danville, which held the Gaels 27 points under their season average.
No worries, said Dublin coach Tom Costello. “Our defense travels very well,” he said.
The third-ranked Gaels (22-3, 11-1) slugged and scrapped just fine en route to a 51-41 East Bay Athletic League victory over the 13th-ranked Mustangs (17-7, 8-4), who wore down gradually and managed just 14 second-half points.
Anthony Roy scored 12 points for Dublin and Grant Manning and Robby Beasley chipped in eight apiece, but it was the defense, especially on the interior, which led the way.
