Carter Mahaney scored on a 5-foot shot in the final minute of double overtime, giving 13th-ranked Campolindo-Moraga the lead for good in a thrilling 73-70 Diablo Athletic League win at 15th-ranked College Park-Pleasant Hill on Tuesday night.
Freshman center Matt Redell (13 points) had a bucket and two free throws in the second overtime to put Campolindo up 69-67. Zyon Pullin, who scored a game-high 28 points, then tied things with a basket.
“I thought we played pretty good defense on him and he scored 28,” Campolindo coach Steven Dyer said. “He’s a great, great high school player.”
After Pullin’s basket, Mahaney (18 points) put his team up for good, 71-69.
