Two years worth of work came together in minutes.
Ostberg, a two-time NCAA All-American, placed 13th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships back on Nov. 17. Indoor track training began in December.
“I was running 60 to 70 miles per week with key sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays. I trained well in Connecticut in the winter weather during semester break,” Ostberg recounted. “I gained confidence and encouragement. Ultimately, it wasn’t one herculean factor. It was consistent work that maximized training.”
Running on the same Cardinal squad as 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track 5,000 meter champion and 2018 NCAA Cross Country Championship runnerup Grant Fisher, has only helped Ostberg.
