    SS Kim (shoulder) will miss Padres' playoff run

    Shortstop Ha-Seong Kim, who turns 29 Oct. 17 and is eligible for free agency after the season, will not be part of the San Diego Padres' postseason, announcing on Saturday that he will undergo surgery to repair a tear in the labrum in his right shoulder.
