He has produced over his 3 years as a starter. He won't ever have a lot of TD receptions due to the philosophy in place at Marcus... It's kind of why you were blessed with the QB you had the last 3 years. He transferred over due to an offensive philosophy.
Why don't you tell us why Kaden isn't the best TE in the area?
DMN ranks their top 5 TEs in the area.

Saw that previously which is why Corbit and everyone else is saying he has the talent. So far he has not provided the numbers in the game though. There are a lot of players with natural talent but they actually never produce on the field which is why others less talented get the rankings.Leave a comment:

Sorry, you forced my hand. I'm 13 now and my dad said I had to find a new hobby, I started watching football after I put down the cards. I really dont know what else I can say other than the fact if you watch both of their films Kaden is the better all around TE. If you plug Kaden into the Argyle offense, the TE position would have vastly improved for Argyle.
Odds are he would but that no one would ever know for sure as not happening.Leave a comment:

So you play the childish card, lol. So now that you are 11 I take it you believe talent alone makes someone better no matter what?. Sorry I have to disagree, no matter how talented someone is if not living up to that talent whether his or the coaches fault does not make him the top TE. No where did I say numbers alone but it does influence recruiters, pollsters and stack rankings. Won't agree with Chris Robinson being better but will with Guyton.
How exactly is Chalk a better TE than Smith?

Say what? If you don't use a player to their talents that is strike against the coach and his system (OC). The article said he was the top talented TE but his numbers in how he is utilized don't support him even being on the list. Doesn't matter how talented someone is if they are not being utilized they will never be the top of any list. Chalks numbers are better and therefore will top the list over the most talented player.Leave a comment:

It doesn't matter how talented someone is on a list that's titled "Top TEs"? Ok. I remember when I was 10 too and used to compare athletes. All I used were the stats on the back of their baseball or football card to determine who was better. As I watched more football and matured, I figured out stats have various factors that play into them. What I mean by that is that just because player A has more Tds than player B, it doesn't necessarily mean player A is the better TE. The next thing you're going to tell me is that Chris Robinson from Mesquite Horn was a better passer than both Shawn Robinson from Guyer and Shane Buechele from Arlington Lamar because he had more passing yards. Or that Jalen Guyton was a better WR than DaMarkus Lodge because he had more receiving yards and catches.

How coach uses Kaden doesn't diminish the players skill. All the headline states is "Top 5 TE's" he is without the doubt the top TE. I don't care how the article was written or what was stated, Kaden Smith IS the top TE. Just a piss poor article with terrible reasoning to have someone believe that JC Chalk is a better TE.

Odd Corbit Smith stated that, "Smith is, without question, the most talented player on this list. The Stanford pledge is big, strong and agile – with great hands to boot." but if Marcus doesn't use his tallent that is on the coach not Corbit. "Smith didn’t catch a touchdown pass, and only made 29 receptions, in 2014" that doesn't sound like the coach is using his talent.
I usually agree with the grain of salt but here Corbit Smith is spot on. If the coach doesn't use the talent it is surprising Kaden made the list at all.Last edited by svhorns; 06-12-2015, 02:16 PM.Leave a comment:

List is comical with some pretty absurd logic. Kaden Smith is head and shoulders the top TE in not only the area but the state yet Corbett Smith has him at 3 based on the style of offense Marxus runs. His number 1TE was more of a hybrid last year though and that puts him at 1 lol

Yeah I don't know about this. I'm not sure If the writer is trying to be "different" because all the recruiting services have Kaden as the #1 TE in Texas, but his reasoning doesn't make any sense. Argyle is a power house and JC Chalk is a good TE in his own right, he has committed to Clemson, but Kaden is college ready as a junior. Chalk will most likely redshirt depending on Clemson's depth at TE.Leave a comment:

Kaden Smith hands down one of the best TE's I ever seen at the HS level. I always take Corbett Smith's opinions about HS football with a grain of salt.Leave a comment:
