Westlake really surprised me in their win over SLC. I know SLC is usually known for their O but I think they're better on the defensive side of the ball this year. I think Westlake should be at 10, remove Desoto from top 10 to others recieving votes right behind Pearland, and move Westfield up a spot to 9.

The AP Pre-Season Poll had SLC 11 with 26 votes. It had Westlake at 17 with 2 votes.

This week it has Westlake at 15 with 10 votes and SLC at 18 with 2 votes.

I don't remember the last time I saw SLC get such few AP votes. They won't get any votes next week.

That is a pretty tough sell right now based on how eSoto and CHill looked last week. I would definitely favor CHill if their game were this week. Luckily for the Eagles, there is a lot of football to be played before that game.

Very possible but this is not trending so well right now. If you mean DeSoto may still be the D1 #1 from 8-6A ok then. But no reason after one week to expect CHill not to win district.
I think they will play the games in any case. Let's see how non-district plays out.

DeSoto : IMG, SOC, Steele District : GP, Mansfield, SGP, CHill, Midlothian, Duncanville

Mansfield will come on strong the middle to late district because ... that is what they do.

Duncanville should NOT impact DeSoto. The 3 games in a row Mansfield, SGP and then CHill are the make or break.
