I'm not so sure they will fade away. It's kind of hard to fade away when you approach 7k I'm enrollment and still have the demographics that Allen will. It's a perfect mix of wealthy, middle class and lower middle class to fade away.
I think that's why so many are vocal about the transfers that Allen has benefitted from it's like my goodness, you guys already have 6k in enrollment and don't spilt that between another school, what more do yall need

PESH has been around since about 1982. Allen refuses to build a second HS. The funny thing is that Allen couldn't compete in football when they were an average to smaller HS. The best seasons Allen has had have all come after they reached enrollment numbers that made them the states largest single HS school districtComment

I find it hard to fault a family that needs to transfer across the country for a job, the local transfers are the ones that I wished they would police better. All the good teams benefit from transfer in's, but also some transfer out to get starting position on lesser teams.👍 2Comment

But actually, to the south you would go from Allen to Plano, Richardson and into Dallas. To the north from Allen, into Lovejoy and then McKinney.Last edited by some eagle fan; 05-07-2015, 07:43 PM.Comment

I mentioned in another thread asking why, with as big enrollment Allen has, do they need to recruit players? With the coaching staff they have don't they have enough home grown talent to win as they have been?Comment
-
Perhaps their coaches are sub-par and don't have what it takes to win utilizing kids who have grown up in the system. ??Comment

What about those kids growing up in the system? Is it fair to the backup Jr. or JV player with the same ability(potential) or better that has waited patiently and has worked hard in practice? Their dream or goal of once becoming a starter ends because a transfer comes in and immediately gets the job. How do you explain or justify this to this kid and his parents? What message does this send to the team? While it is obvious to all? Isn't the purpose of freshman-junior varsity teams to develop and prepare for varsity play? Is this really fair? Just some thought?👍 1Comment

A few years ago Abilene had on the ballot to consolidate Abilene High and Cooper. It failed, mainly because of that, many felt opportunity for kids to play would be limited.Comment

Ok I get that. But why even have rules(transfer)in place? It just fascinates me that programs that are successful and the hardware to prove it, with such a great talent pool of underclassmen feel the need to bypass their own players for an outsider that transfers in and gets a starting position? Whatever happened to earning or playing up for a starting position? Nah these transfers are given(promised) a starting position immediately and the rest is history. Whatever happened to coaching them up and developing them on the lower levels? Lets just forget about the transfer(recruit)rules and let em all come in and play.lol👍 1Comment

Between the size of Allen and the way it seems all these transfers just find a way to wind up in Allen it's bad for the game.👍 2Comment

Amazing how people complain about Allen's size and transfers but considering Cedar Hill had more transfers the last two year than Allen and Plano was and is one of the largest schools since the 70's not sure this could be much more than sour grapes. Where is all the complaints about other schools transfers??? Not going to hear it because the few that complain about rumors and hearsay are just mad about their schools choice and make up innuendos.Go Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

They want to divert attention from themselves and say well others are doing it so we should to.
When they use the Plano example is when it becomes truly laughable.👍 1Comment

Exactly, had the same conversation with my eight year old yesterday. He came home from second grade and had gotten in trouble for laughing in class. I told him that I expected him to behave and he said that the teacher only noticed him. He said that Charlie had talked A LOT more than he had the past two days and that his friend Paul always talked but didn't get into trouble. In addition, she didn't actually see him, just said she thought it was him based on his voice but couldn't prove it.
I told him that I don't care what his friends do and if they were caught, that I expected HIM to do the right thing. Now reading your post, it makes sense. I'll tell him, he's right and not to worry about it. If the others don't get in trouble, then he shouldn't either.
Thanks for the lesson!👍 2Comment

I wonder how many transfers cedar hill has actually had and if their 2 leading rushers, leading passer and a WR 2nd in receiving had all transferred in over the last 2-3 years. Most likely not.
I'm also curious as to who decided to transfer in once cedar hill had a vacancy I mean a stud graduatingComment

Allen is changing the landscape in high school football here and not for the better. Instead of coaching kids up and teaching them loyalty to a program and each other, they seem to be bypassing that entirely and just doing whatever it takes to win and justifying it with well those kids chose to come to our school and there isn't anything wrong with it.
